This morning I started getting locked out of some of the database tables due to a corrupt file system. I've moved the database off this system and restarted it, as far as I can tell the damage / changes that occured due to corruption are minimal so I will not rollback to a previous backup. If you notice any anomalies due to this event please deal with them as I cannot revert it due to its current state.

In an attempt to clean up player profiles we have added far stricter regular expression checks to all profile fields, both MSN and email address must now be in the correct format. Also very few special characters apart from those needed will be allowed in profile fields.

Due to a problem with duplicate referral codes being generated, all referral codes have now been reset. To get your new code you'll need to go to the Syndicate in Sector 1 and agree to the terms once again.

For those who like to get disfavored by breaking some of our smaller language rules be warned, getting a staff disfavor of -3 or lower will now freeze all ability training until it works its way back up. Meaning if you get a full -4 disfavor you will be missing 3 full days of ability training. Having said that if you get a staff favor of 3 or higher now you gain +2 ability points per hour to your training rate.
